The DeForest Area Rotary Club is sponsoring a food drive
to help the DeForest Area Food Pantry.
According to the Food Pantry coordinator Keith Manke, the food pantry
sees increased needs in the fall, especially as children go back to school. Therefore, the Rotary Club is sponsoring a
food drive during school registration sessions, and is encouraging residents to
continue giving through September. What's
needed? Toiletries (laundry detergent, toilet paper, size 3 and larger
disposable diapers, etc.) and non-perishable food (Hamburger/Tuna Helper,
canned meals such as SpaghettiO's, Raviolio's, baked beans, instant mashed
potatoes , instant white/brown rice, peanut butter, jelly).
Families with school-age children can bring donations to
the schools during their scheduled registration. Also look for DeForest Area Rotary Club Food
Pantry bins at the following locations: DeForest
Area Public Library (203 Library Street), DeForest Area Community/Senior Center
(505 N. Main Street), DMB Community Bank locations (321 N. Main Street,
DeForest; 815 S. Main Street,
DeForest; 6562 Lake Road, Windsor),
Grobe & Associates (819 S. Main Street,
DeForest), Tesar Law Office (200 S. Main Street,
DeForest), DeForest Police Department (305 E. Holum
Street, DeForest), and Edward Jones (132
W. Holum Street). |
